Heute mal ein Spass der absurden Sorte. Bei Translation Party gibt man einen englischen Satz ein, der dann mit Hilfe von Google Translate so oft ins Japanische (das einen ganz anderen Satzbau hat) und zurück ins Englische übertragen wird, bis keine Abweichung mehr auftritt. Ich habe das mit einer Zeile aus einem Bob-Dylan-Song gemacht:
She knows there’s no success like failure and that failure’s no success at all.
She may not be able to understand all the problems.
Der folgende Satz (aufs Geratewohl von der Huffington Post geliehen) macht Obama zum Republikaner, bevor er ins Sinnlose abdriftet:
But Obama seems wedded to the illusion that Republicans are actually interested in reasoning together – as opposed to doing whatever they can to crush him.
